Uninstalling Network Manager -> No More WiFi (Dapper)

It turns out that Network Manager isn't ideal for me at all, so I
removed it as well as the dependencies that it installed with it,
restored my /etc/network/interfaces and even rebooted just to make sure.
My wifi no longer works and I can only use the onboard ethernet.

Any ideas?
