If I remember right, Ubuntu requires very little to
operate.  A PentiumIII, 256Ram, or An AMD comparible
is supposed to work.  I've had it on a PentiumIII, and
now on my AMD!  I have a AMD3200+ AthlonXP, with 1GB
PC2400DDR, and there are several AMDK7 support files
in the synaptic package manager.  With a Xeon, you'll
probably be running i686Ubuntu.  I believe it,s for
Xeon, Itanium, and AMD64DualCore.  You might want to
visit Ubuntu.org to double check everything!
