Xscreensaver transitions

by 'changeover time' do you mean the time between different screensavers
or the time one screensaver displays before switching to the next?

If you want to define how many minutes one screensaver displays before
switching to the next you change the cycle time in the main
xscreensaver control panel.

System -> Preferences -> Screensaver
