Kernel 386 installed instead of 686

I hadn't realized Ubuntu only shipped with the 386 kernel. I only
checked the kernels available after adding the repositories and running
apt-get update. Plus, I just realized didn't manage to connected to the
Internet when I installed (the install obviously can't install
ndiswrappers all by itself). That's answered my question.
