I had the same problem on my laptop after upgrading to Breezy. However,
I did NOT have the problem on my desktop system at home (go figure).
What worked for me was 750 on the home dir *not* 755 (no freaking way I
am giving the world my home dir - even on a single user system). Mine
looks like thus:

drwxr-x--- 68 myuser myuser 4096 2005-09-26 15:39 myuser

I didn't have to make it recursive, just a "chown 750 myuser" from the
/home dir. Previously (when I received the error) my home dir was set
to 770 - for some reason it doesn't like the write bit set for the
group - ?!?!

Hope it works for you too!

Breezy rocks - Many thanks to all!!!
