Ship-It

I believe the shipit policy is to serve the people first who didn't
get served during the last release. Hopefully, people who didn't get
hoary CDs will get Breezy CDs quickly.
Personally, I had to wait a long time for my Hoary CDs. Long enough
that there wasn't much point in them any more, given Ubuntu's
relatively short 6 month release cycle.
One suggestion I've thrown out into the community before, but no one
has ever bitten on, is to have Official CDs available for purchase
from Cafe Press for those who can't/don't want to wait and need some
to give out at conferences, etc. I don't think this would necessarily
be inconsistent with the "Always free of charge" promise--shipit CDs
could still be free for those who can't/don't want to pay. Some will
point out that CDs are available for purchase from stores like
Cheapbytes.com and linuxcd.org, but It would be nice to be able to
purchase Official Ubuntu CDs at the Ubuntu Cafe Press shop,
[http://www.cafepress.com/ubuntushop], to give to people.
Just a thought.
