Hi Albert,
Breezy is the development track of Ubuntu, which will be released on
October 13th 2005. As a development track it has things done to it.
There are going to be more changes between now and the release date.
It is an unfortunate thing that new users end up using development
software, however my personal thinking on this is that people look for
the latest not realising they are getting development software.
Most people would not go to a car factory and look for the model in
development, but when it comes to software people do, without realising
it. :)
Anyway that should be the only time you see that many packages. Lots of
change will happen and you can track it.
If you require a more unchanging version, stable except for bug fixes
then the version for you is hoary hedgehog 5.04.
In Ubuntu the date of the release is the number, so 5.10 is the 2005
10th month. Aside than that welcome to Ubuntu, hope you enjoy it as much
as we do.
Regards,
