I said you _might_. Sometimes it's not necessary.
However, if you need to, use the command "sudo smbpasswd -a USERNAME",
where USERNAME is the login-name of the user (it most exist locally).

Go to "Places" top-menu and either:
* select "Network Servers" and from there navigate to your other
system's shared directories (from "Windows Network"), or
* choose "Connect to Server..." and select "Windows share" and but
the name of the other system (or it's IP number) in the
"Server:" field.
Some notes:
This method uses the SMB protocol to access directories/printers
on other systems (like the one used by Windows for "Network
Neighborhood"). As such, it has some limitations. As a an
example, files and directories with legal names under Linux but
not under Windows (like "Project A: Part 1.ext") may be
represented differently when accessed using this method.
