OpenOffice.org needs unusually long to start up

Morning all,

starting from this morning, OpenOffice.org began to take enormous amounts of
time to start up. No error messages, not even running from terminal. No extra
CPU activity, no hard disk traffic, no extra memory hogging. All I get is the
normal splash screen that you usually see when one of it's components is
starting, and then finally the program comes up, but it's about fifteen times
slower compared to the last time I tried it on Friday.

Yes, there were updates during this time, the normal security updates that were
announced during the weekend were loaded this morning before this happened.
Couldn't tell if it affected on this, probably so. Also I did install gxmms,
since I got tired of Rhythmbox having trouble playing songs continuosly (I'll
ask about that on a separate email), could that explain anything?

I timed the startup, here are results:

time ./soffice -calc file:///home/jaska/Works/xxxxx.sxc

real 3m15.081s
user 0m4.211s
sys 0m0.186s

That's not the proper file name, of course, and there is user impact cause it
requires a manual quit (CTRL+Q), but I don't think that makes a difference in
that time. :)

Could anyone point me to some direction in troubleshooting the issue? Thanks a
lot in advance.
