[Breezy] Shared Folders not working

I just did a fresh install of Colony 5 on a bare metal machine,
created the root user, logged in as root, used the Shared Folders
applet to share two directories using NFS and SMB, clicked OK, and now
when I attempt to start the applet, I get a greyed out window that
never shows my shares. I have to click the X to close the window, and
I get the GNOME error about the window not responding.

The directories are both shared using both protocols, and I checked
the config files for both, and they are correct.

Also, if I attempt to do a right click on a folder and use the Share
command in the menu, nothing happens. I checked bugzilla, I don't see
anything. Any ideas?
