FTP problem

Hi
I have installed Ubuntu and I am trying to set up a FTP server. I use 
proftpd . connecting from a windows machine using filezilla work fine 
but connecting from the same machine running Ubuntu and gftp will 
terminate the session. Please se print below for session messages:

Any ideas how to fix this?
