Hi!
I just finished upgrading my Hoary box to Breezy. My desktop looks
better now, great job Ubuntu team! ;-)
Although I had some problems starting Xorg but by following the
BreezyUpgrade wiki note, I got it working without much hassle.
Now, my real problem is I can't launch Tomboy and other Mono-based
applications. Executing Tomboy on the command line will show these
errors:
** (/usr/lib/tomboy/Tomboy.exe:9540): WARNING **: The following
assembly referenced from /usr/lib/tomboy/Tomboy.exe could not be
loaded:
Assembly: Mono.Posix (assemblyref_index=1)
Version: 1.0.5000.0
Public Key: 0738eb9f132ed756
The assembly was not found in the Global Assembly Cache, a path listed
in the MONO_PATH environment variable, or in the location of the
executing assembly (/usr/lib/tomboy).
** ERROR **: file class.c: line 1692 (mono_class_init): assertion
failed: (class)
aborting...
Aborted
Executing Beagle, which is a Mono-based application, will encounter errors also:
** (/usr/lib/beagle/BeagleDaemon.exe:9657): WARNING **: The following
assembly referenced from /usr/lib/beagle/Util.dll could not be loaded:
Assembly: Mono.Posix (assemblyref_index=5)
Version: 1.0.5000.0
Public Key: 0738eb9f132ed756
The assembly was not found in the Global Assembly Cache, a path listed
in the MONO_PATH environment variable, or in the location of the
executing assembly (/usr/lib/beagle).
** (/usr/lib/beagle/BeagleDaemon.exe:9657): WARNING **: Missing method
chmod in assembly /usr/lib/beagle/Util.dll, type Mono.Posix.Syscall
Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference
not set to an instance of an object
in <0x00000> <unknown method>
in <0x0000e> Beagle.Util.PathFinder:get_LogDir ()
in <0x00327> Beagle.Daemon.BeagleDaemon:Main (System.String[] args)
Beagle Daemon exited with errors. See ~/.beagle/Log/current-Beagle
for more details.
I have already installed the Mono binaries that has the Ubuntu icon
using Synaptic. What could be causing this error? How do I resolve it?
regards,
Jojo
