Today I got the following from aptitude:
  derek at othello:/tmp$ sudo aptitude upgrade
  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree... Done
  Reading extended state information
  Initializing package states... Done
  The following packages are unused and will be REMOVED:
    glide2-bin [2002.04.10-11ubuntu1] libaspell15c2 [0.60.3-5]
    libglide2 [2002.04.10-11ubuntu1] xserver-xorg [6.8.2-69]
  The following packages will be upgraded:
    kdelibs-bin [4:3.4.2-0ubuntu4 -> 4:3.4.2-0ubuntu7]
  31 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 54 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Now, I understand the problem with xorg that's causing all these packages to
be removed, but this was an "upgrade", not a "dist-upgrade". Is it not
supposed to _only_ install upgrades and not remove any existing packages or
install new ones?
