I just finished a post asking about NetworkManager, to here and the kubuntu
list.  I agree it looks like the right place - and
knetworkconf/kwifimanager could seemingly be front ends to NetworkManager,
too - but the documentation is sparse (I'm being generous - haven't found
any yet beyond the API specification).
