I'm taking the chance to try and find out wich IDE's (if any) people use...

I have searched for a decent gtk-based editor with a minimal set of
features and (besides grad, wich seems to be dead, or commercial apps)
have found nothing of much interest.

I can live without glade integration...

Any ideas?
