Here's two links for you:
1. www.sane-project.org -- I'm told that these are the linux scanner 
guys. (No scanner here; every horizontal surface is already knee deep in 
stuff.)
2. www.linuxprinting.org -- These are the linux printing guys. Be sure 
to check out the forums for your printer.

Another thing to try is to go to the manufacturer's support pages and 
search for "linux'.
