bad header line: apt repository issues?

Is anyone else still getting this problem with aptitude or synaptic giving 
"bad header line" errors when first trying to update the package lists, and 
then working on the second try?  I've been seeing it since I first installed 
Ubuntu, and I figured it was just a temporary repository problem that would 
be fixed in good time.  Seems to go back to at least march:

Is this a known problem?
