slow screen redrawing in breezy on thinkpad T43

Like I was saying, I'm getting really slow screen redraws on a
thinkpad t43 with a ATI Mobility Radeon X300 with 64MB. I just started
getting this after installing the Sep 13th daily. I last installed the
Sep. 1st daily. And everything wsa fine.

Has there been any change that would have caused this? It's a bit
disturbing being that release is about a month away.

I've also updated everything since the install.
