It would be extra testing (there could easily be slight differences due
to CD size changes, and we're already incredibly overworked doing final
sanity-check testing of images just before release as it is), extra load
on releases.ubuntu.com mirrors, opens the potential for combinatorial
explosion in the number of images we have to deal with, and complicates
the matter of which CDs we send out to people via shipit. We're pretty
committed to just having one CD per architecture.

Of course, it's possible to build your own CDs ...
