Hi ubuntu-users!
As I started learning ubuntu, I wanted to keep notes, but did not. So now I
am starting to, though I have been using Ubuntu for over 8 months now. I
thought it might be useful for people who are new to Ubuntu as well for
people who search for solutions on google to have the wisdom shared in this
mailing list recorded in a weblog. Of course, as I am the person writing the
entries, selection is subjective. I hope I can do justice to the community
by keeping a log of interesting usage notes, commands, news and such. Some
of the stuff on there can seem stupid, childish or just plain obvious - but
these are things that weren't obvious to me, and I expect it will be useful
for someone. This is as much to help myself as to help the community.
New users can subscribe to the rss/atom feeds if that is your thing ;) You
can also check the weblog from time to time to read the tip 'o the day. If
enough folks are interested, I can set up multiple author-ship or a way to
submit tips.
I will and do try to edit the wiki pages and add information so it is
available from a central resource, but most of whats covered in the weblog
is stuff that is old news to the veterans and pros anyways :)
Your suggestions are always welcome, and if you don't want to broadcast your
views, you can email me personally.
Oh, and the blog is at http://ubuntu.wordpress.com :)
Thanks for the wonderful tips and tricks at this list - nothing comes close!
