But there is no CD! I need to try out many different
softwares which are not in a particular CD.
Can I have a local directory where all deb packages
are stored and include this directory in
/etc/apt/sources.list as one of the sources. If so how
would the format be.
All examples of synaptic/apt that I have seen talk
about a system connected to the net. This is one
feature that I found restrictive in ubuntu. It expects
everyone to be connected to net. Or is there a
workaround that I am missing.
