setting up a print server

hi,

i have a desktop computer with a fresh install of ubuntu breezy and my
panasonic printer attached to it. the printer works fine locally, but it
doesn't show up in the printer list on my ubuntu laptop. when i had suse
running on my desktop, the printer just showed up for my laptop as well
without my having to do anything. what do i need to do on the desktop to
get my laptop to automatically see the printer as it did before?
