I just went to live365 and selected a station. It launched a
javascript which eventually started xmms. Then xmms promptly died.
Tried again with xmms already open and it played the stream. Also,
re-opening xmms after it died allowed me to play the stream which was
still in xmms's playlist. So, it's definitely possible to play streams
from live365 in Linux. Mind you, I'm not in Ubuntu now, so I can't be
sure that Ubuntu will automatically launch xmms.
