writing simple visual front ends to shell scripts for ubuntu

Hi All,

Thanks for the replies

Zenity looks like what I need, is it installed in the standard
Ubuntu/Kubuntu install (im not at my Ubuntu PC at the moment)?

If not is there anything else like xdialog that is?

also Zenity looks to be based on gtk - would Zenity work in Kubuntu?
