adding program to applications menu

Hey, I'm new but I found using a package called smeg makes menu editing
very simple. Either search for 'smeg' in synaptic or "sudo apt-get
-i smeg" from the command line and you should have it. It will be
listed under Apps>System Tools>smeg. Open it and you can add or delete
any programs you have into any application area you want. The only
hitch is you need to know the command-line command to enter into smeg,
which is usually straight forward. Hope that was what you were looking
for.
