java runtime environment for ubuntu ppc

hi

i was recently browsing a site which required the java runtime
enviroment in mozilla firefox. is it supported under ubuntu ppc since
i had to do a manual install and well on looking i did not find any
for linux ppc ... the closest that i saw was linux rpms and a self
extracting file but the problem is in the list of supported platforms,
ubuntu or debian were not listed.
