Hey, I've just started using a canon LiDE 30 with Ubuntu. I plug it in and
Ubuntu recognizes it instantly and it uses the plustek drivers. Beautiful
work devs. However when I attempt to scan at a resolution higher than 75x75
the scan comes out with all sorts of wavy lines. Anybody out there using
this same scanner and having it work properly? How do you have it
   configured.

Another thing is in gimp when I go to the file -> acquire -> xsane menu, it
lists my tv card as a default source and has to rescan to find the scanner.
I wont usually unplug the scanner so it will always be connected, how can I
make it so that this is the default all the time?

Tell me you're using Breezy--I've plugged my LiDE 30
into my machine with Hoary countless times and it's
never even seen the scanner.

I'm pretty tired of the work I've done my Dell Latitude
X1 and never got around to looking into the scanner.
I'd just as soon plug the LiDE into my wife's X1 with
MS XP, on which I installed the Canon (are they still
called Twain?) drivers.

I'd love an easy answer, there's so much paper I'd love
to throw away.
