Ok you may need to change modprobe.conf, try this
options bttv card=34
options cx8800 audio_debug=0
include /etc/modprobe.d/
Yes there is a list of cards with their corresponding tuner/type
numbers. It used to be included in the video4linux documentation but I
do not find it on my hoary system. Some googling should turn it up.
I had one of these cards working at one time. I thought I had some
notes on getting it working but I cannot find them.
