No sound from RealPlayer [I've still a problem]

Hmm,
All I get is "Can't init audio driver Alsasink - try another one"
and then no driver found(alsasink)'   ore something?
Where are these drivers to be found.. I'm running on an elderly Compaq 
Presario laptop.

Just to document the solution to this problem, if it occurs to anyone
else: I needed to rerun gstreamer's registration:

$ gst-register-0.8

RealPlayer works fine now and I'm listening to Radio 4.
