Old Laptop + Ubuntu

OK I rebooted and still no net, here's my netstat -r and my ifconfig is the
same
$ netstat -r
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface
localnet * 255.255.255.0 <http://255.255.255.0> U 0 0 0 eth0
default 192.168.1.1 <http://192.168.1.1> 0.0.0.0 <http://0.0.0.0> UG 0 0 0
eth0
