dpkg-scanpackages (and other kinfolk)

Good afternoon!

For a while now, whenever someone asks how to set up an offline repository,
I (and lots of other folks) have been suggesting a method that involves the
use of dpkg-scanpackages. I'm just now getting around to actually installing
Breezy (wanted to wait a bit) and lo and behold the dpkg-scanpackages wasn't
on any of my systems.

To get this little gem, open Synaptic, find a package called dpkg-dev and
install that. The dpkg-scanpackages script will now be in /usr/bin.

As far as I can remember, I didn't have to do this with Hoary....it was just
there !??!

I hope this helps someone else save some head-scratching!
