well it looks like you've forgot to enable multiverse, cause this is
where java-package lives in.
add this to you /etc/apt/sources.list'
deb http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy multiverse
deb-src http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy multiverse
this enables multiverse.
and change the de. part to your liking! i'm in germany so this would be
us. if you living in the states....
after that open a terminal and type
sudo apt-get update
this downloads the newest package lists (or hit reload in synaptic).
after that, java-package should be there.
if not, then something strange most be going on here!
