Brand New Hard drive Breezy install....

Thanks for all the help... Writing this from a perfect install of Breezy on
my brand new hard drive. No problems at all. I made a 50 Gb root partition,
2 Gb swap, and 198 Gb home. A question about the separate home, if I install
programs, music, etc, and download them and save them to my home partition,
do I need to do anything to have it read from my root? Bascially, I had a
hoary where root and home where together, now that they are separate do I
need to do anything different running programs that I have saved etc.?
