Hoary LiveCD wants password!

Don't understand this.
I tried to use the Hoary LiveCD and it asked for my username and password, which
of course I did not have.
(a) is there a username and password one should use?  (I tried a number of
logical but unsuccessful guesses)  If so what are they?
or
(b) How can I bypass the login screen?
