Q2 - Quake 2 - sound in Breezy?

I had a similar problem, no sound in Frozen Bubble, Pingus and
SuperTux. After installing libsdl1.2debian-esd I got sound in Frozen
Bubble and SuperTux, still no sound in Pingus, and in addition, now
system sounds are played not as smooth as it was before.
