Backup Clarification - (Im still a little bit new here)

Firstly, if you love the list, consider breaking up the post into smaller
paragraphs to make it a bit easier to read. :-)
Secondly, my .02USD. Windows is a good servant and a terrible master. It
just wants things its own way and doesn't like different filesystems, for
example.
As for backup, I just keep singing the praises of the rsync program. Using
it with a linux fileserver as a nightly cron job has really simplified my
life. A lot. Really.
