Intelx86 Kubuntu install

If you are happy to have both gnome and KDE on your machine, just run

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop 

or use synaptic package manager to install the kubuntu-desktop package. 

This of course after installing Ubuntu. Possibly if you want only Kubuntu, you could do a "server" install , then install kubuntu-desktop as above. I haven't tried this, but the kubuntu-desktop package is a metapackage which should pull in the needed dependencies.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here ! :) I used the server + apt-get method to install a minimal desktop with fluxbox etc on an old P200 so my suggestion in that regard is an "educated guess" ....
