Welcoming myself to Ubuntu, but I have some questions

I've done two upgrades so far, which went just fine. However, you could
always resize your drive, create the new partitions, move all your data
and mount them. I think kassetra had a how-to put up for this, search
the forums if you want it.

I think gparted is used for this.
