I have some problems with vesafb after recompiling kernel

I fixed this problem by putting debian unstable and experimental sources
in my /etc/apt/sources.list, installing the debian linux-tree-2.6.12,
adding bootsplash and suspend2 patches and compiling the kernel with
make-kpkg. Everything works nicely, no problems.



The moral of the story: don't use Ubuntu kernel sources, use Debian
ones!
