I agree with others who say you should install XP from scratch.
If you can't do that, where is the Ghosted image from? The same PC that has
Ubuntu on it now?
Also, you did not say what kind of networking you installed with VMWare 5.
This will make a difference to XP. I think installing NAT is the best for
most people.
