Hi,

Could someone enlighten me about how to change the umask, and other
permissions for automounted drives in Ubuntu?

editing /etc/fstab is not an option - i want my external hdd to be mounted
with umask = 000 regardless of whether it is /dev/sda1 or 2 or 3 ...

So which config file control the options when drives and devices are
automounted? certainly doesnt seem to be /etc/fstab ?

udev-hal-pmount it is all very confusing, and after searching I have been
unable to find this question answered anywhere.

Thank you in advance.

Carthik.
