ndiswrapper does not get a DHCP offer any more

Hi,

Since yesterday's upgrade to ndiswrapper-utils 1.1.4-ububtu2, my
wireless card doe snot work any more. This may or not be related,
because I reverted to the ubuntu1 package and it still doesnt' work. (I
have since reapplied the upgrade.)

I have rmmod'ed the module, deleted the driver (bcmwl5, a Dell 1450
a/b/g), reloaded the driver, modprobe'd ndiswrapper and still nothing.
(I did this before downgrading the package, after downgrading it and
finally afre re-upgrading it.) The driver itself shouldn't be a problem.
I compared /etc/ndiswrapper/bcmwl5 with a backup from when it was
working and they're the same.

The symptoms:

1) When I run ifup wlan0, the card does not get a DHCP offer from my
wireless router:

Oct 1 12:05:56 dirac dhclient: Listening on LPF/wlan0/00:11:f5:16:71:05

Oct 1 12:06:57 dirac dhclient: No working leases in persistent

2) iwlist still finds the network:

root at dirac 49 $ iwlist wlan0 scan
  wlan0 Scan completed :

3) iwconfig looks OK as far as I can see I hadn't setup a key yet):

4) Ndiswrapper reports all OK (I guess otherwise the scan wouldn't turn
up anything anyway):

    root at dirac 53 $ ndiswrapper -l
    Installed ndis drivers:
    bcmwl5 driver present, hardware present

5) I ran ndiswrapper-buginfo and here's the output:
