Ok -- im gonna sound like a total idiot here -- I have it installed, and
configured with the proper communication parameters.  In Hyperterm, I
would then click connect, and hit enter a couple times to get the switch
to answer, but in minicom, I cant find the connect command, and just
hitting enter does no good either -- I know the port, etc are good, as
they work properly in windows
