Not true... I got some advice from alt.os.linux... What I did to fix
this problem was ran e2fsck from a live cd on /dev/hda9 and it took a
while but eventually I came out the the execution with 7% fragmentation
an increase compared to the 1.3% previously but. My hard-drive is OK
now... if anyone needs more info on how I did it... email me at
