Read the URL below, and follow the instructions. Note that it will probably be best to download the player to your home directory, but if you download it to the desktop you can change to that directory by doing

cd ~/Desktop  (notice the capital D ! )

all the commands are run in the terminal ( Applications - Accessories -Terminal )
