How to change the default app in firefox?

Generally for pdf or any other file, right click on it and go to the
"open with" tab. Change or add the program to open the clicked file and
make it the default application which opens the file. eg. pdf files can
be opened with xpdf, evince, kpdf or adobe reader to name a few. In the
same way, video files can be set to open with different players.
For firefox, install the adobe reader plugin or copy the *.so file to
.mozilla/firefox/plugins and it should work. I don't know whether evince
has a plugin for firefox.
