Hi there,

I just tried to remove the Kubuntu sound modules and
insert the modules Knoppix uses just so:
$ sudo rmmod snd_intel8x0
$ sudo rmmod snd_ac97_codec
$ sudo rmmod snd_pcm_oss
$ sudo rmmod snd_mixer_oss
$ sudo rmmod snd_pcm
$ sudo rmmod snd_timer
$ sudo rmmod snd_page_alloc
$ sudo modprobe i810_audio
$ sudo modprobe snd_mixer_oss

Then I went to the System Settings->Sound&Multimedia
and I choosed "Open Sound System" and klicked "Apply".
Then "Test Sound" Button gave me sound.

But now Kaffeine tells me that
"ALSA device default does not exist"

What is the full solution to this?

your humble
