Sound card woe

I have the same soundcard on my laptop. The sound used to work in Hoary, 
but I lost it (the sound) while upgrading to Breezy.
I tried playing a CD with Sound Juicer, and testing from the Multimedia 
Systems Selector, but I can't get any sound from my present system.

I appended some info on my system (I tried muting the Headphone Jack 
Sense and the Line Jack Sense since it's already happened to me that it 
was the problem, but it didn't make any difference this time).

I did use the hardware reporting tool to report the problem (about 2 
weeks ago).

Any suggestion welcome,
