I've just discovered 'Ubuntu' Linux and as a long-time Linux user (Slackware mostly) and supporter of the free software ideology, am attracted to the Ubuntu principle.

The first problem I've found with Ubuntu Linux - and one which many prospective users will get no further than - is the glacial slowness of the Web Site. My experience is that it's one of those 'click on the link, go away and make a cup of coffee, and sit drinking it while the page downloads' jobs! I hope this is a temporary problem.
