Hi!

I guess you're searching for a possibility to disable ntpdate during the
boot process, right?

Well, I don't see a "soft" way to disable it. You can remove the
init-scripts (by using "update-rc.d -f ntpdate remove"), but I don't
really like this way.

I would like to see a variable in /etc/defaults/ntpdate to disable the
check on boot, but there is none. What do the others think?
